2 Weeks In…It’s YES in the New Year!

“Nourish beginnings, let us nourish beginnings. Not all things are blest, but the seeds of all things are blest. The blessing is in the seed.    ~ Muriel Rukeyser

I wrapped 2015 relocating from my home and neighborhood of these last 8 years, from a cute and cozy cottage home, to an urban, modern, town home in a more urban area.  It was poignant and emotional to drive out of the neighborhood for the final time, remembering and recalling all the growth and experiences with family, children, love and loss, beginnings, and change.  I recognized that life is truly and definitely dynamic, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I realize that I’m good at change and transition, though, I recognize that mostly this change comes to me, and I then I respond to it, to the change, to life. I want to be a bit different and to live more deliberately and to be more active in how living is for me, to still be responsive to life and living, but, to be more active in choosing the how and where and why.

“Ode to Sixteen Iris (and Life Well Lived)
The Neighborhood…
Life has been lived here, these last 8 years
I’ve known the sweetest sunrise
And the warmest sunset
Celebrated milestones
My own, my children’s, family’s and friends…
Felt deeply, joy and sorrow
Happy and content
So much growth, and
So many changes
2,920 days of living
Here in this neighborhood…
Moving forward, onward, toward, now
A new neighborhood
To play host to living and life
Anticipating sweet sunrises,
And warm sunsets,
Milestones to celebrate, with
Family and friends, full of
Joy and love and happiness

I wish us all well and happy and loved.  Join me living in the ‘yes to all possibilities’ way of being.  Wishing us all fun and adventure and full and satisfying lives… Cheers to yes and Cheers to you and all you can be in this new year, too!
